بتاريخ 12 سبتمبر 2009 حلّت جمعية المشعل لأبناء المفقودين بجيجل في ضيافة واحدة من عائلات ضحايا القمع الأعمى في سنوات التسعينات، هي عائلة الضحية السيد رضوان شويخ إبن مبروك و الجوهر شويخ، الفقيد أعزب من مواليد 25 ماي 1971، كان طالباً في مركز التكوين المهني بجيجل، حيث أوقف في نقطة تفتيش للجيش الوطني الشعبي على مستوى قيصير بالعوانة في جيجل بتاريخ 15 فيفري 1994. قام عناصر من الجيش الوطني الشعبي من ثكنة أندرو بالعوانة بجيجل بتحويل الفقيد إلى داخل الثكنة على الفور حيث تعرض لتعذيب وحشي. عندما رأى نهايته تقترب، اخترع الضحية قصة احتجاز مسدس في المنزل لكي يلقي نظرة أخيرة على عائلته. في يوم السبت 16/02/1994 نحو منتصف الليل، أخذه العسكريون في صندوق سيارة عادية وأيديه مقيدة خلف ظهره بالأصفاد وعليه العديد من جروح التعذيب. قام بعدها بتقبيل والدته ووالده وأخبرهما أنه اخترع تلك القصة ليراهما للمرة الأخيرة لشعوره بأنه سيُقتل على يد العسكريين. وبالفعل، داخل منزله وأمام والدته ووالده وكل العائلة، قُتل برصاصة مسدس على مسافة قريبة من قبل أحد العسكريين. تُرك الجثة في مكان الجريمة وأيديه مكبلة بالأصفاد. حوالي الساعة 3 صباحًا، عاد العسكريون بتعزيزات كبيرة واستعادوا جثة الضحية. نقلوها عن طريق السحب إلى مركبة مدرعة حتى دوار أندرو حيث رموها على جانب الطريق. في الصباح، جاءت الحماية المدنية واستعادت جثة الضحية ونقلتها تحت إشراف العسكريين إلى مشرحة مستشفى جيجل. اقترب والداه من المستشفى لتحديد هوية الضحية، وذهبوا إلى مكتب المدعي العام لدى محكمة جيجل الذي أصدر تصريحًا بالدفن دون فتح أي تحقيق على الرغم من هذه الوفاة المشبوهة. ودُفن في مقبرة تيميزار.
The Case of the Missing Assassinated Radwan Chouikh, Kidnapped and Assassinated on February 15, 1994 in the Al-Awana Region of Jijel, Algeria
On September 12, 2009, the Al-Mashaal Association for the Sons of the Missing in Jijel visited one of the families of the victims of the blind repression in the 1990s, the family of the victim Mr. Radwan Chouikh, son of Mabrouk and Jouhara Chouikh. The deceased was a bachelor born on May 25, 1971. He was a student at the vocational training center in Jijel, where he was arrested at a checkpoint of the National Popular Army at the level of Qaissar in Al-Awana, Jijel, on February 15, 1994. Elements of the National Popular Army from the Andro barracks in Al-Awana, Jijel, immediately transferred the deceased inside the barracks, where he was subjected to brutal torture. When he saw his end approaching, the victim invented a story about hiding a gun at home so that he could take one last look at his family. On Saturday, 02/16/1994, around midnight, the soldiers took him in the trunk of an ordinary car, with his hands handcuffed behind his back, and he had many torture wounds. He then kissed his mother and father and told them that he had invented that story to see them one last time, feeling that he would be killed by the soldiers. Indeed, inside his home and in front of his mother, father, and the entire family, he was shot at close range by one of the soldiers. The body was left at the crime scene with his hands handcuffed. Around 3 a.m., the soldiers returned with large reinforcements and retrieved the victim’s body. They dragged it to an armored vehicle until the Andro roundabout, where they threw it on the side of the road. In the morning, the Civil Protection came and retrieved the victim’s body and transferred it under military supervision to the morgue of the Jijel hospital. His parents approached the hospital to identify the victim, and they went to the office of the Public Prosecutor at the Jijel Court, who issued a burial permit without opening any investigation despite this suspicious death. He was buried in the Timizar cemetery.
